If you have not read my “New You” post, take a minute to read it! My sister has lost 90 lbs and I myself have lost 63 lbs. My next weight loss post will be about my weight loss journey, but here’s a quote from my sister on her weight loss journey!!
“I’m just starting my lifestyle change. Taking back my life, one day, one workout, one meal, one bite at a time.
I’m Lynne and I’m 37 years old. Married for eight years, with two children almost eight and four. I’ve been heavy since the fourth grade. In 1993 in my sophmore year of high school, I went on Weight Watchers and went from 186-126.5. I was a half pound from my goal weight. We went on a family vacation, I gained six pounds and never went back on WW. When I graduated in ’95 I was a size 12. In 2000 when I graduated from college I was a 22. I stayed that weight for most of the early 2000’s (or so I thought). Married in ’06 and I think my wedding dress was a 26 or 28. It was the only dress I tried on, it was the only dress they had in my size/price. When I was pregnant in ’06 I was 275. I thought I was 250. In 2010 when my youngest was born I was about the same weight as I was the first time around. In 2013 at my physical I was roughly 275. In the fall of 2013 my MIL stayed with us and I was drinking more and my eating was way out of control. When I went to the doctor on May 6, 2014 I was 295. I was shocked. I had already started watching my portions and using myfitnesspal. I told her I wanted to see her every month to get my accountability and stay on track. I went back June 3, I had lost 10lbs. I’ve averaged 10lbs a month for 8.5 months. I’ve lost in total 87.6, and 63 inches. I still see my doctor every month. Up until this past week, I didn’t own a scale. I only weighed in at her office. Now since buying it, I’ve gotten on it every day.”
