5 Tips for Purging

When starting your purge, here are 5 things to think of to maximize the amount that you throw out.

  1. Pens/Markers – is it dried out? Find all pens and markers that are dried out and throw them away.
  2. Anything – if you haven’t used it for a year and it’s not a seasonal item or a reasonable sentimental item, throw it out!
  3. Clothing/Towels/Rags/Table Cloths/Etc. – is it ripped, holey, too small, or incredibly stained? Get rid of it.
  4. Household Goods/Furniture/Dishes/Electronics/Etc. – Is it broken, stained, non-working, really ugly, cracked, containers without lids, just way too many of the same thing? Take it to the thrift store.
  5. Food/Make-up/Medicine/Anything with an expiration date/Etc. – if it’s expired, throw it away. If you’re just never going to use it, give it to someone in need!
