4 Photography Tips for Moms (or beginners)

This is going to be short and sweet.

  1. Lighting – Your lighting may be the most important tip of all. The lighting can make you or break you. Morning light or evening light, are the best forms of light for photographs. Try to shoot in the morning or early evening. If you’re shooting indoors, make sure to have plenty of lighting and try to recreate morning light. Keep it natural looking.
  2. Manual Mode – Use the manual mode on your camera and adjust your exposure accordingly. Manual mode will give you such better pictures than the auto mode and your pictures will turn out looking professional.
  3. Background – Outdoors in nature most anything goes(except photobombers), but if you’re indoors make sure to pick a simple and “pretty” background. You may ruin your picture if the background is too distracting or a messy house.
  4. Practice – Practice taking pictures every day. Eventually you WILL get better. Play with your camera and learn to use the settings. Get to know your camera and how it works.

I hope these were tips were helpful and easy to understand! Here are some pictures that I’ve taken using these tips;
