DIY Dye Feathers

1 Get a large bowl. Fill to brim with warm water and a few drops of dish soap. Add feathers. This will help them to absorb the colors.

2 Put 4 cups water, and 1/3 cup distilled vinegar in a pot and bring to boil. Add koolaid or food coloring. As much as it takes to make the color that you want.

3 Remove pot from stove and let it cool to warm.

4 Add feathers to your pot. Keep them in the mixture til they’re the desired color.

5 Pull feathers out and set them on paper towels to dry. They will look all scrunched up but you can fluff them after they dry. They will take about 5 or 6 hours to dry.

6 Fluff your feathers. You’re done!
